NEW YORK: A BIG APPLE THAT IS GOOD FOR YOU

‘There's no place like New York. It's the most exciting city in the world now. That's the way it is. That's it.' Which is what Robert de Niro once said and no one who has walked down the sidewalks of the Big Apple would say otherwise.

Urban destination par excellence, one walks down the blocks of New York's streets for the first time with the nagging feeling that one has already been here. All those images from movies and magazines, photographs that you have seen your entire life come to mind and now, here you are, in person! New York is full of contrasts, a joyful melting pot of 8.5 million inhabitants.
BOSTON: BIRTHPLACE OF MODERN AMERICA

Fed by ocean breezes and almost 400 years of history, the capital of Massachusetts gives travellers no shortage of reasons to put down their suitcases and stay awhile. Forward-thinking and cosmopolitan yet with all the charm and atmosphere of the Old World, Boston is a vibrant gateway to America.

For some inexplicable reason, Boston, just 300 kilometres from New York, immortalised by Dennis Lehane's crime novels and this year's Oscar-winner Spotlight, is unjustly neglected by travellers. Yet the roots of America run deeper here than anywhere else in the country. The largest city in New England, it's just a short hop from where the Mayflower docked in 1630.
LOS ANGELES: LEGENDARY CITY ON THE WEST COAST

City of Angels, Los Angeles is suffused with latin flavours. Founded in 1781, it was a promised land conquered by Spanish missionaries and courted by Mexican settlers.

The city's original site, El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de Los Angeles, has survived the test of time and history. The City of Angels has patiently invented its legend, much helped by the eternal sun and the blue of its rainbow sky. The city has a hypnotising aura that borders on excess. The quintessence of seaside glamour that are Malibu and Venice Beach; Beverly Hills with its constellation of stars; or downtown L.A, the historical heart, where the first primitive huts were built...
MONTREAL: A TOWN WITH MANY FACES

Cobbled streets and glass skyscrapers, both noisy and crazy or calm and relaxing, Montreal well and truly has many faces.

Built between Mount Royal and the St. Lawrence River, Montreal offers a variety of landscapes and environments: its red brick Victorian houses, the quirky atmosphere of the ‘Village', and the trendy streets of the Plateau-Mont-Royal. There is also a huge cultural gap between Old Montreal to the north of the island home to the Old Port, Place Jacques-Cartier, City Hall, the Place d'Armes and Notre Dame and the city centre, where modern skyscrapers soar ever higher, such as 1000 de la Gauchetière, the CIBC tower, and the famous Stock Exchange Tower, designed in 1962 by I.M. Pei (who also designed the Four Seasons in New York and the Louvre Pyramid in Paris).
