The Pâquis Baths: a local favourite

Enjoy beautiful days in the middle of Lake Geneva while keeping your feet firmly on the ground.

The one-of-a-kind Pâquis Baths is a coveted spot in Geneva, perfect for relaxing, sunbathing, swimming, and having a massage. Built out of wood in 1872, expanded in 1889 with a construction on stilts, the Pâquis Baths were rebuilt in reinforced concrete in 1932. Its architectural simplicity gives the site a striking timelessness. Located at the end of a pier, it places the visitor in the middle of the lake, giving the impression that you are sailing or perpetually traveling.

On one hand, you can enjoy the view of the city and its fountain; on the other, your gaze is lost in the distance, along the shores of Lake Geneva. Saunas, Turkish baths, and steam baths vary the pleasures, making the baths a place with a clientele of faithful regulars. The restaurant serves simple, fresh meals in summer, and cheese fondues in winter, always in a friendly atmosphere.

Early risers will enjoy the amazing ‘musical dawn concerts' during the summer. Autumn gives way to poetry readings the first and third Saturdays of the month. Let yourself be enchanted throughout the year!
