The Gastwerk Hotel, an industrial hotel with ultra-modern decor

In this building from the 1890s, industrial architecture meets modern design, a perfect combination and a great place to sleep for a few nights.

This red brick building still supplied gas and electricity to the city of Hamburg 150 years ago. Today, designers Regine Schwethelm, Sibylle von Heyden and Armin Fischer have superbly renovated the 8,000 m² and converted it into a hotel.

The brick and steel structure of this industrial building strikes a contrast with the very contemporary decor. Like a huge loft, the interior is bathed in natural light filtering through the glass roof. The 141 rooms and suites are spacious, bright and adorned with warm colours, creating a very welcoming atmosphere.

The Mangold restaurant and L.Bar will allow you to spend a long evening at the hotel, enjoying its unique atmosphere, without setting foot outside. As for the oriental spa at Gastwerk, it takes you away to Morocco for a relaxing moment to reconnect with your body. On the agenda: an Ayurvedic hot-stone massage or foot reflexology.
