Second Home Peru: an artist's home

Second Home Peru: an artist's home

A charming guesthouse with only eight rooms, perched on a hill at the edge of the ocean.

The artist-painter Victor Delfin, the Peruvian Dalí, lived in this manor house overlooking the beach. It is now entrusted to his children, yet he is still very active in his workshop, a hidden source of inspiration at the rear of the building.

His work is omnipresent, and the very soul of Peruvian culture inhabits the eight rooms. They are simple, bright, and comfortable, with blond wood furniture and wrought iron beds. Each has its own bathroom. The garden terrace offers panoramic views over the bay of Lima, from the typical small village of Chorrillos to the great Marine Terminal of Callao.

To reach the ocean involves an easy climb down the bajada de banos, a winding lane that leads you directly to the sand. Colourful fishermen's boats dance in the Pacific at your feet; the sea air is crisp and clear, and the azure sky swept by the flight of cormorants.
