Located in the heart of Saint-Denis, near the Petit Marché, Lé Gadiamb is one of the best traditional food establishments in the Réunion capital, so it is highly recommended to book in advance, especially for dinner. Cari, zantak, pat'cochon, duck with vanilla, lontan vegetables, tangors, guava and much more… all the local flavours and traditional preparations are honoured. The snook rougail (hot chutney with smoked fish similar to cod) is especially delicious. The owner and his team are happy to answer questions about the menu, the origin of the recipes and the history of Lé Gadiamb. The setting is charming with its architecture and its decoration in the manner of a Reunionese hut, notably thanks to its guétali, a traditional Creole kiosk with an elevated terrace perfect for an aperitif.
